Five generations—for the first time in our history— are now shopping in America’s food stores. Immigration and the ‘Connected Consumer’ are all coalescing to force change.  And … there’s lot of Change happening.

Bill Sussman of Collective Bias, asked me to discuss a few retail trend ideas that are likely to happen as we move toward the year-end and on to 2016.

I think one of the most interesting changes taking place is the link between generations and technology. As I was putting my thoughts together to respond to Bill Sussman’s questions, my friends at Prosper Technology shared a rather interesting data insight about generational retail format preferences from their August consumer research.
